Concordia

A meeting of the SEMTL community will be held on Thursday, February 22nd, 2024, from 09:30 to 12:30.

The meeting will occur at Concordia, CSSE Department Room ER1072. The CSSE Department is located at 2155 Guy Street (the Royal Bank building). Coffee and snacks will be available during the meeting.

    • Dr. Benoit Baudry will present his talk entitled Hardening Software Supply Chains
  • 10:30 - 10:45     Coffee Break
  • 10:45 - 12:00     Student presentations (10 minutes presentation + 5 minutes Q&A)
    • Pouria Alikhanifard: Refactoring and Semantic Aware Abstract Syntax Tree Differencing (supervised by Nikos Tsantalis).
    • Victor Veloso: An empirically validated catalogue of test-specific refactorings (supervised by Nikos Tsantalis).
    • Jean Baptiste Minani: Practical Guidance and an Automated Approach for IoT Systems Testing (supervised by Yann-Gaël Guéhéneuc).

About the keynote speaker

Bio: Benoit Baudry is a Professor in Software Technology at the Université de Montréal. His research focuses on automated software engineering, software diversity and software testing. He favors exploring code execution over code on disk. He received his PhD in 2003 from the University of Rennes, France. He was a research scientist at INRIA (France) from 2004 to 2017, and a Professor at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden) from 2017 to 2023.

Social event

We will not be able to organize a single social event for all attendees, but we do encourage groups to meet and go to the nearby restaurants. The Crescent Street is booming with options, check out some of the options here.

Localisation

SEMTL will take place in the Concordia GSW Campus Downtown, in the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering, located in the ER Building at 2155 Guy Street.
